Work setting: Construction, various locations, commercial, residential, installation. Relocation costs not covered by employer
Apprenticeship training: Pre-apprenticeship training, level one apprenticeship training, level two apprenticeship training, level three apprenticeship training, and level four apprenticeship training
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as Registered Apprenticeship certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Area of specialization: Quality assurance or control
Equipment and machinery experience: Conventional electrical devices, motors and controls, hand tools
Own tools/equipment: Tools and steel-toed safety boots
Credentials: Electrician Trade Certification
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be comfortable working outdoors and able to work at heights
- The candidates should be able to work in confined spaces and in dusty environments
- The candidates should be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and capable of handling heavy loads
- The candidates should be physically capable of demanding tasks and have a strong attention to detail
- The candidates should be willing to work overtime when required and able to meet tight deadlines
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be proficient in efficient interpersonal skills and have excellent oral communication abilities
- The candidates should demonstrate flexibility and show initiative
- The candidates should exhibit good judgment, be organized, and be a team player
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to install underground wiring and cables, design and construct single-phase service for single or multimeter installations, and splice, join, and connect wires
- The candidates should be able to design and construct low voltage (30 to 750V) multiphase service for single or multimeter installations, test and measure voltage, loads, ground faults, and integrity of circuits, and troubleshoot and isolate faults
- The candidates should be able to connect power to audio and visual equipment, install surface mount and/or overhead cables, and install power generation, stand-by power generation, and power conditioning systems
- The candidates should be able to ground and bond electrical equipment, systems, and structures including swimming pools and hot tubs, and read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications
