Transportation information: The candidates should have own vehicle
Work setting: Rural area
Type of crops: Apples
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 2 to less than 3 years’
Equipment and machinery experience: Automated manure handling or storage system, Sprayer or duster, Tractor
Area of specialization: Agricultural crop service
Security and safety: Criminal record check, Driver’s validity licence check
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work in fruit and vegetable combination farming, outdoors, and horticultural field crop
- The candidates should be physically demanding, and a repetitive tasker
- The candidates should be able to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to do vegetable culling, weeding, provide agricultural crop services such as plowing, irrigating, cultivating, spraying or harvesting
- The candidates should be able to co-ordinate and supervise the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers
- The candidates should be able to develop work schedules and establish procedures, ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed, supervise and oversee growing and other crop-related operations
- The candidates should be able to maintain work records and logs, operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
- The candidates should be able to perform general farm duties
