Location: 70 Mile House, BC
Shifts: Day, Weekend, Overtime
Work setting: Rural area
Type of crops: Artisanal crops, Carrots, Cucumbers, Greenhouse tomatoes, Greenhouse vegetables, Herbs, and Tomatoes
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Equipment and machinery experience: Feeding and watering system, and Tractor
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should have experience in fruit and vegetable combination farming, livestock combination farming, and tree and orchard fruit farming
- The candidates should have knowledge of organic farming methods
- The candidates should have experience in poultry and egg production
- The candidates should be capable of working under pressure and excel at meeting tight deadlines
- The candidates should demonstrate attention to detail in their work, ensuring accuracy and precision
- The candidates should be willing to work overtime as required, displaying dedication to completing tasks efficiently
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should possess excellent oral communication skills, enabling effective interaction with colleagues and clients
- The candidates should be organized in their work approach, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and effectively
- The candidates should be team players, capable of collaborating effectively with others to achieve common goals and objectives
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to assist in the development and implementation of farm safety and bio-security procedures, and ensure their compliance
- The candidates should be able to maintain financial and production records, as well as livestock performance records
- The candidates should be able to coordinate, supervise, and oversee the work of general farm workers, harvesting laborers, and other staff
- The candidates should be able to hire and train staff, ensuring a competent workforce
