Salary: $15.65 hourly for 40 to 60 hours per week
Employment Type: Seasonal employment – Full time
Location: Surrey, BC
Shifts: Overtime
Work Setting: Staff accommodation available
Work site environment: Fruit and vegetable combination farming, Other vegetables and melon farming (except potato), Outdoors, Wet/damp, Dusty, Hot
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language.
Education: There are no standard education requirements such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Physical Requirements:
- The candidate should be able to work under pressure and pay attention to detail.
- The candidate should be physically demanding and required to handle heavy loads.
- The candidate should be required to perform repetitive tasks on frequent basis.
- The candidate should be willing to work in bending, crouching, kneeling, sitting, standing, walking position for extended periods of time.
- The candidate should have the ability to distinguish between colours.
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be flexible in nature and a good team player.
Responsibilities:
- The candidate should be able to hand harvesting vegetables
- The candidate should be able to plant, cultivate, fertilize, spray, irrigate and also harvest crops.
- The candidate should be able to examine produce for quality and prepare for market.
