Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have educational qualifications such as High School Diploma, GED, Technical or Trade School
Experience: Candidates should have Beginner/light PLC and Welding experience (ARC/MIG/TIG/Wire feed)

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should have the ability to sit, stand, and drive for extended periods of time, lift heavy weight, and climb onto equipment
  • The candidates must reside within 25 km of the assigned Region/Base Location
  • The candidates should have standard tools used in the trade/craft and may be a requirement for overnight travel about 20% of the time
  • The candidates should be self-starters, driving customer satisfaction with a passion for equipment maintenance and should be willing to work outdoors on Industrial equipment as well as in cold, hot, and damp areas
  • The candidates should be capable of lifting from the waist, lifting from the shoulder, prolonged standing, repetition of hand and arm movements, working at heights, and bending as part of their working conditions

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates must have a valid Driver’s License and a good driving record
  • The candidates should possess a versatile equipment maintenance repair skill set
  • The candidates should demonstrate the ability to adhere to Health and Safety regulations, including fall protection, lock-out tag-out procedures, etc
  • The candidates should possess Wrench-in-hand experience (mechanical, engineering, electrical, copiers, or cable installation) and Experience limited to only computer/IT repair and installation is not generally a fit for this role
  • The candidates must be able to read mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical schematics as required

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to be customer-focused and strive to delight the customer and able to be available and accessible by phone and tablet daily as required
  • The candidates should be able to maintain, troubleshoot, and service light industrial equipment both mechanically and electrically
  • The candidates should be able to troubleshoot, adapt, and resolve/repair all issues to keep equipment functioning properly and able to test each system after service/repair is complete to ensure the system is functioning properly
  • The candidates should be able to perform proper inspection of customer system to prevent future issues and able to explain each service and repair performed to customers
  • The candidates should be able to use sound judgment to deal with and eliminate safety-related issues and able to provide detailed and clear service reports, turning them in daily
  • The candidates should be able to read mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical schematics as required and able to use computer/tablet applications for word processing, modify Excel spreadsheets, inventory control, and reporting
  • The candidates should be able to provide daily reports and communicate regularly with Store Managers, District Managers, and home office personnel
  • The candidates should be able to make phone calls and process paperwork in accordance with HDES policies and procedures
  • The candidates should be able to complete other tasks as assigned by their Leader or Sr. Field Services Professional
