Salary: $34.00 hourly for 44 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: 7727 – 18 Street Edmonton, AB T6P 1N9
Shifts: Day, Weekend
Work setting: Various locations

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 2 to less than 3 years
Area of specialization: Structural metal or steel 
Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots and Welding helmet
Credentials: Metal Fabricator Trade Certification

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be physically fit to meet the demands of a physically demanding role
  • The candidates should possess hand-eye coordination for tasks that require precision
  • The candidates should demonstrate a high level of attention to detail in tasks and assignments

Candidate Status:

  • Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
  • International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to lay out reference points and patterns
  • The candidates should be able to assemble and fit plates and sections to form structures
  • The candidates should be able to set up and operate heavy-duty metal-working machines
  • The candidates should be able to construct patterns and templates
  • The candidates should be able to install fabricated components in the final product
  • The candidates should be able to rig, hoist, and move materials to storage areas or within the worksite
  • The candidates should be able to study engineering drawings and blueprints, determine the materials required, and plan the sequence of tasks to cut metal most efficiently
