Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of a Journeyman Plumber certification
Experience: Candidates should have considerable experience in the relevant field

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be comfortable working on structures at heights with proper fall protection equipment

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should hold a gas license and be qualified to maintain switch-heaters and work on high-pressure systems
  • The candidates should possess a provincial certification for working on 500,000 BTU systems Gas 1 Installer’s License
  • The candidates should be proficient with the safe use of common hand and power tools, obtain and hold a CROR rules card, minimum level “D”
  • The candidates should hold a valid driver’s license and be proficient in the installation and maintenance of sanitary, potable, and pressurized water systems
  • The candidates should be proficient in the maintenance of oil-water separators and thorough knowledge of all relevant industry codes

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to perform maintenance on switch heaters to ensure proper functionality and safety
  • The candidates should be able to install, inspect, and repair gas fittings in compliance with safety regulations
  • The candidates should be able to handle and manage propane systems, ensuring safe storage and usage
  • The candidates should be able to conduct rough plumbing tasks, including installing and repairing pipes and fixtures
  • The candidates should be able to replace and repair HVAC systems to maintain efficient heating, ventilation, and air conditioning operations
  • The candidates should be able to maintain storm drainage systems to prevent flooding and ensure proper water flow
  • The candidates should be able to inspect, repair, and maintain high-pressure steam and air lines to ensure operational efficiency and safety
