2235666 Ontario Inc. based in Manotick, ON is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of General Farm worker. 2235666 Ontario Inc. is an Ontario farm that started growing berries in 1981 and has not stopped since, expanding into their current farm, now adding more produce, a garden centre and much more. We offer a wide selection of berries and an abundance of fresh produce grown at our farm. The candidates who will get selected for the vacancy will be required to start the work as soon as possible.

Salary: $15.50 hourly for 44 to 60 hours per week
Employment Type: Seasonal employment Full time
Location: Manotick, ON
Shifts: Day, Morning ,To be determined
Work Setting: Remote location
Work site environment: Fruit and vegetable combination farming
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language.
Education: There are no standard education requirements such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset, also training will be provided to the candidates.
Type of crops: Asparagus, Carrots, Raspberries, Strawberries, Sweet corn, Tomatoes
Equipment and machinery experience: Planting equipment, Tractor
Physical Requirements:
- The candidate should be physically demanding and required to perform repetitive tasks on frequent basis.
- The candidate should be willing to work in a standing, walking position for extended periods of time.
Responsibilities:
- The candidate should be able to plant, cultivate, fertilize, spray, weed, irrigate crops and also harvest vegetables.
- The candidate should be able to hand harvesting vegetables and clean greenhouse.
