Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have hands-on experience as a store clerk in a grocery and retail environment

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be guest-oriented and able to work under pressure while being positive, energetic, and enthusiastic, be on their feet throughout an eight-hour day
  • The candidates should be capable of working in-store for long periods, lifting, and moving boxes and products up to 60 lbs

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have strong verbal, written, analytical, and interpersonal skills, strong computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • The candidates should have some experience with Retail Point of Sale equipment a desire to succeed, learn, and develop in a professional environment

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to perform regular staff appraisals within specific time frames and initiate recognition, corrective, and disciplinary actions, establish and maintain a merchandising and display plan for the store to optimize product presentation
  • The candidates should be able to schedule staff effectively and operate a computer POS system, ensuring all related procedures and reports are completed accurately, oversee all security issues related to cash handling, theft prevention, liability management, and premises safety
  • The candidates should be able to ensure proper storage of products, equipment, and fixtures to maintain organization and efficiency, contribute to the growth of Panorama by acting upon suggestions from staff and guests to enhance operations and service
  • The candidates should be able to prepare operating and capital budgets as required, ensuring financial accountability and resource allocation, organize and conduct promotional activities to drive customer engagement and sales
  • The candidates should be able to conduct business with suppliers and representatives with uncompromising integrity and uphold the highest ethical standards, demonstrate knowledge of all Panorama products, special events, promotions, policies, and procedures
  • The candidates should be able to implement and maintain a staff communication binder and board to enhance internal communication, maintain a clean, neat, and safe environment for guests and co-workers
  • The candidates should be able to train and coach staff, providing guidance to enhance performance and professional development, ensure staff adherence to company policies and procedures to maintain operational consistency and compliance
