Cobble Wood & Bird Sanctuary Guesthouses based in Tofino, BC is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of Guest home cleaner. Cobble Wood & Bird Sanctuary Guesthouses facilitates with private Tofino accommodations in self-contained suite or vacation rental with the convenience and luxury of own kitchen or kitchenette, fireplace, deck or garden patio, conversational fire pit, pond, free internet and many other wonderful features. The candidates who will get selected for the vacancy will be required to start the work as soon as possible.

Salary: $19.00 to $24.00 hourly (to be negotiated) 30 to 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Term or contract, Part time leading to full time
Location: 1115 Fellowship dr, Tofino, BC V0R 2Z0
Shifts: Day, Flexible Hours, Morning, 09:30 to 16:00
Work setting: Work in employer’s/client’s home, Staff accommodation available, Private residence
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 2 to less than 3 years’
Security and safety: The candidates should have clear criminal records, and should have valid driving licence
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be physically demanding and should be a repetitive tasker
- The candidates should be able to work with attention to detail
- The candidates should be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, crouch, and kneel for extended periods
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be client focus, dependable, reliable, initiative, flexible, should have efficient interpersonal skills, and be able to work as a team player
- The candidate should have values and ethics
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to sweep, mop, wash and polish floors, dust furniture, vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies and upholstered furniture, and make beds and change sheets
- The candidates should be able to distribute clean towels and toiletries, stock linen closet, clean, disinfect and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances, disinfect operating rooms and other areas
- The candidates should be able to handle and report lost and found items, attend to guests’ requests for extra supplies or other items, provide basic information on facilities
- The candidates should be able to pick up debris and empty trash containers, wash windows, walls and ceilings, clean changing rooms and showers
- The candidates should be able to address customers’ complaints or concerns, office management
