The Governing Council of The Salvation Army serves as the central administrative body overseeing the organization’s mission and operations in the region. Salary: $17.00 hourly for 24 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: 318 Windmill Road Dartmouth, NS B3A 1H5
Shifts: Weekend
Transportation information: Own transportation and Own vehicle
Work setting: Half-way house
Supervision: 16-20 people
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Credentials: First Aid Certificate and CPR Certificate
Security and safety: Enhanced reliability security clearance
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should demonstrate the ability to work independently and work effectively under pressure
- The candidates should possess keen attention to detail and be able to lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs)
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should strive to be accurate in their work and possess efficient interpersonal skills
- The candidates should demonstrate excellent oral communication abilities and exhibit interpersonal awareness
- The candidates should exercise sound judgment in their decision-making and uphold values and ethics in their conduct
- The candidates should prioritize client focus in their interactions and display excellent written communication skills
- The candidates should show flexibility in their approach to tasks and demonstrate initiative in their work
- The candidates should collaborate effectively as team players and maintain an organized work style
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to perform administrative and office activities and supervise the terms of probation orders
- The candidates should be able to resolve conflict situations and supervise activities of clients living in group homes and halfway houses
