VALLEY HOLDINGS LTD based in Charlottetown, PE is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of Health care aide. VALLEY HOLDINGS LTD operates as a holding company. The Company, through its subsidiaries, manufactures, and sells inorganic chemicals. We have founded this Clinic on the philosophy of physicians and staff to be of immense service to the patient. The candidates who will get selected for the vacancy will be required to start the work as soon as possible. The position of Health care aide is approved by LMIA.

Job Description:

Position: Health care aide
No of Vacancies: 7
Salary: $21.00 hourly 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Full time, Permanent employment
Location: Charlottetown, PE
Transportation information: The candidates should have valid driver’s license
Work setting: Nursing home/home for the aged


Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 5 years or more
Credentials: First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate
Security and safety: The candidates should have clear criminal records

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, be physically demanding, and a repetitive tasker
  • The candidates should be able to work with attention to detail
  • The candidates should be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, crouch, and kneel for extended periods
  • The candidates should be able to handle Hand-eye co-ordination, and be able to distinguish between colours

Other Requirements:

  • The candidate should be accurate, client focus, dependable, organized, initiative, flexible, reliable, and judgmental
  • The candidate should have excellent oral communication, efficient interpersonal skills and awareness, be able to work as a team player


  • The candidates should be able to supply and empty bed pans, take patients’ blood pressure, temperature and pulse
  • The candidates should be able to serve meal trays and feed patients, weigh, lift, turn and position patients, make beds and maintain patients’ rooms
  • The candidates should be able to supervise patients’ exercise routines, maintain inventory of supplies, bathe, dress and groom patients
  • The candidates should be able to transport patients between care facilities, transport patients in wheelchair or stretcher
  • The candidates should be able to answer call signals
  • The candidates should be able to accompany patients on outside recreational activities and perform other duties related to patient care and comfort
  • The candidates should be able to administer first aid in emergency situations
