Fernie Alpine Resort is a renowned ski destination located in the Canadian Rockies. It offers world-class skiing and snowboarding terrain in the winter and scenic trails for hiking and mountain biking in the summer. Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates should have previous professional work experience in a customer service role

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have previous cash-handling experience
  • The candidates should be proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), and Point-of-Sale (POS) systems
  • The candidates should have previous experience in a mountain or resort setting
  • The candidates should have the ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays
  • The candidates should have the ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • The candidates should have a passion for sports and the outdoors

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to ensure a comfortable and friendly atmosphere for both guests and staff
  • The candidates should be able to print day tickets and season passes for guests and able to handle cash, including a daily float, and debit and credit card transactions
  • The candidates should be able to process season pass requests online and in person, print, and distribute passes
  • The candidates should be able to respond to inquiries in person, via email, and phone and able to promote and sell all products and experiences available at the resort
  • The candidates should be able to address customer service-related questions and concerns, escalating to the Guest Services Team Leader where appropriate
  • The candidates should be able to ensure daily communication between various departments and within the team as needed (Food & Beverage, Mountain Operations, Retail & Rental) to provide accurate and up-to-date information to guests about resort services and products
  • The candidates should be able to know and adhere to the policies, rules, and protocols outlined in the RCR Employee Handbook
  • The candidates should be able to know and follow all safe work procedures included in the Safety Management Program
  • The candidates should be able to know and comply with all expectations of the Injury Management/Return-to-Work Programs
  • The candidates should be able to perform other tasks and duties that are applicable
