Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of Grade 11
Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of two years of experience practicing

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should have the ability to work well with others and demonstrate leadership, initiative, and creativity
  • The candidates should be organized, efficient, and productive, strong people skills and be flexible and able to work in a changing environment

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should be enrolled in and participating in one or more arts disciplines, including theatre, dance, music, visual, literary, and multimedia arts or a related field
  • The candidates should have previous experience working with children in an arts instructional setting and hold current Standard First Aid, CPR, and/or AED certifications
  • The candidates should have completed AODA Customer Service/IASR Training, completed High Five training courses and possess knowledge of interpretive techniques, aesthetic and technical concepts, and proper handling of program materials in their discipline of instruction
  • The candidates should have working knowledge of general registration and visitor procedures and working knowledge of applicable health and safety legislation and corporate, departmental policies related to health and safety
  • The candidates should have strong oral and interpersonal communication skills and demonstrate strong organizational and listening skills

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to develop and lead engaging introductory arts programs tailored for children
  • The candidates should be able to assist in delivering creative instruction across various disciplines, including theatre, dance, music, visual arts, literary arts, and multimedia arts
  • The candidates should be able to foster an inclusive and supportive environment that encourages artistic expression and skill development
  • The candidates should be able to collaborate with program coordinators to enhance curriculum and ensure high-quality instruction
  • The candidates should be able to contribute to a positive client experience by promoting participation in recreational and cultural activities
  • The candidates should be able to adhere to facility guidelines and safety protocols while delivering arts programs
