Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have post-secondary education in insurance or a business-related field
Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of related or similar work experience within the insurance industry

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should be individuals holding a General Insurance License Level 2 from the Insurance Council of Manitoba
  • The candidates should be individuals with strong analytical, customer service, and sales skills
  • The candidates should be individuals with a working knowledge of a broker management system, preferably TAM, and Microsoft Office applications
  • The candidates should be individuals who have demonstrated strong problem-solving abilities in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to act as an onsite Broker to assist other Brokers and the Supervisor as needed, supporting learning and growth for the team
  • The candidates should be able to provide Property, Casualty, and Auto insurance services and professional insurance advice to existing customers and prospects through multiple forms of communication within broker authority level
  • The candidates should be able to offer insurance advice, process policy changes, and enter changes directly into the insurance computer systems and document them in the Agency Management system
  • The candidates should be able to log into the customer assistance telephone queue and provide assistance regarding quotes, changes, amendments, and inquiries for new business and existing clients
  • The candidates should be able to use proper questioning and sales techniques to provide property insurance quotations and apply all appropriate pre-qualification and underwriting guidelines while using evaluation software
  • The candidates should be able to educate the client by explaining the difference in coverage along with special limitations provided by each insurance provider and packages
  • The candidates should be able to assist in improving customer retention and service levels through first call resolution and direct customer contact
  • The candidates should be able to adhere to all legal insurance requirements, Insurance Act, and Insurance Code of Ethics
  • The candidates should be able to demonstrate daily the Core Values & Behaviors / Service Principles of CCG and promote all CAA products and partnerships
  • The candidates should be able to accept payments according to procedures and process endorsements as required
  • The candidates should be able to ensure open communication with all underwriting companies and forward all pertinent documents
  • The candidates should be able to close and balance the cash drawer as required
  • The candidates should be able to meet the expectations of a Broker Audit and Quality Assurance program
  • The candidates should be able to perform other job-related duties as assigned
