Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have bachelor’s Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have minimum three years of related experience as a lab technician
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have experience in battery systems and high-voltage lab settings
- The candidates should have experience in creating and conducting experimental protocols
- The candidates should have experience in operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting laboratory equipment
- The candidates should have experience with general lab maintenance duties, including ordering, organizing, and monitoring supplies, providing purchasing documentation, and liaising with suppliers
- The candidates should demonstrate the ability to work independently and coordinate all aspects of a research laboratory under direction, as well as in a team environment, with strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- The candidates should have demonstrated ability to keep well-informed of current technologies, best practices, and state of knowledge in the research area
- The candidates should have a proven ability to exercise judgment, tact, diplomacy, and a high degree of initiative
- The candidates should possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, organization skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality
- The candidates should demonstrate the ability to work under pressure to meet multiple competing deadlines
- The candidates should have proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to use computer software and graphical programming environments for test systems

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to support the experimental testing, maintenance, administrative, and logistics activities of a state-of-the-art battery testing facility focused on thermal management research of battery systems for electric vehicles and stationary energy storage applications
- The candidates should be able to work under the supervision of Professor Cristina Amon and Senior Research Associates, supporting ATOMS Lab’s and EHub’s missions to advance research and training in batteries, power electronics, and electric vehicle systems
- The candidates should be able to work collaboratively with ATOMS Lab’s and EHub’s academic and industrial partners, joining a culturally diverse team whose composition, environment, research vision, and everyday interactions are purposely designed for team members to develop critical competencies to solve pressing engineering challenges
- The candidates should be able to oversee day-to-day operational needs for one or more labs/workshops
- The candidates should be able to perform lab experiments that require great precision and attention to many details
- The candidates should be able to modify experimental processes and implement more efficient ways to conduct experiments
- The candidates should be able to prepare draft statistical reports and summaries from data collected
- The candidates should be able to create and edit a standard operating procedures manual
- The candidates should be able to contribute to research findings that are published in academic journals
- The candidates should be able to troubleshoot issues with lab equipment and/or workstations
- The candidates should be able to coordinate routine maintenance of lab equipment
- The candidates should be able to provide safety training and ensure compliance with lab safety procedures and standards
