Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of a post-secondary degree in accounting, finance, commerce, business, real estate administration, or law
Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in Lease Administration
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be comfortable with exposure to computer keyboards and screens in a primarily office environment
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have a working understanding of commercial lease terminology with an ability to apply this understanding in performing job responsibilities
- The candidates should have advanced knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, experience with SAP
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to provide comprehensive administration of leases, licenses, management and operation agreements, joint use and cost sharing agreements, encroachment agreements, easements, and consents to enter
- The candidates should be able to review and analyze agreements to ensure timely receipt of rent, license fees, realty taxes, utilities, and confirm tenant billing aligns with legal documents
- The candidates should be able to track payment dates and complete all necessary administrative and legal steps to ensure collections, including providing recommendations to Legal Services, help facilitate accurate financial and operational reporting
- The candidates should be able to produce and maintain records and estimates related to budget forecasting, accruals, corporate grants, receivables, payables, and loan payments, and communicate this data to Corporate Finance and other City Departments
- The candidates should be able to ensure the collection, safeguarding, recording, balancing, and depositing of City funds in accordance with Corporate policies and procedures
- The candidates should be able to provide ad hoc assistance on projects and initiatives within the unit or team
- The candidates should be able to provide ongoing leadership support and expertise to property staff in relation to lease interpretation and tenant inquiries
