Salary: $27.00 hourly 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Surrey, BC
Work setting: General law practice

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Computer and technology knowledge: MS Word, MS Excel

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • The candidates should be able to work with attention to detail
  • The candidates should be able to work under tight deadlines
  • The candidates should be able to handle a large caseload

Other Requirements:

  • The candidate should be accurate, client focus, dependable, organized, and reliable
  • The candidates should have excellent oral communication, excellent written communication, efficient interpersonal skills, and be able to work as a team player

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to schedule and confirm appointments, maintain a filing system
  • The candidates should be able to record and prepare minutes of court sessions, meetings, or conferences
  • The candidates should be able to determine and establish office procedures and routines, arrange travel, and related itineraries, and make reservations
  • The candidates should be able to open and distribute regular and electronic incoming mail and other material and co-ordinate the flow of information
  • The candidates should be able to prepare and key in correspondence and legal documents
  • The candidates should be able to review and proofread documents and correspondence to ensure compliance with legal procedures and grammatical usage
