Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education:Â Candidates should have completion of an accredited practical nurse education program
Experience: Candidates should have experience working with clients with Addiction and Mental Health 3 years
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA)
- The candidates should hold a current Basic Cardiac Life Support – Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification
- The candidates should demonstrate the ability to work independently and have strong communication and interpersonal skills
- The candidates should have experience working with vulnerable populations
- The candidates should have at least 3 years of experience providing outreach care
- The candidates should demonstrate a knowledgeable and caring clinical practice that is grounded in addiction and mental health nursing from a recovery-oriented perspective
- The candidates should demonstrate time management, independent decision-making, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- The candidates should have an ability to foster positive relationships within a team environment
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to work in collaboration with community partner teams, both AHS and non-AHS based, to collaboratively provide care to individuals impacted by unstable housing, socioeconomic factors, and substances
- The candidates should be able to provide consultative assessments and intakes for clients within the LPN scope of practice to determine physical and mental health stability
- The candidates should be able to complete thorough health assessments, treatment planning, management, and monitoring of both patient physical and mental health issues
