Apprentice plumber

District Mechanical based in Edmonton, AB is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of Apprentice plumber. District Mechanical is an innovative contractor that brings a focus on design constructability, and offsite fabrication to our clients. Our BIM/CAD expertise and our design knowledge allows us to integrate into projects early in the design phase and streamline system design and bring down installation costs in the process. We want to dismantle the historic stigma of what a good mechanical contractor can do for our customers and elevate their understanding and expectations of how projects are managed and built by the mechanical team. The candidates who will get selected for the vacancy will be required to start the work as soon as possible.

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
Credentials: Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
Apprenticeship training: Level one apprenticeship training, Level two apprenticeship training, Level three apprenticeship training, Level four apprenticeship training, Level five apprenticeship training

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be physically demanding
  • The candidates should be able to bend, crouch, and kneel for extended periods
  • The candidates should be able to handle Hand-eye co-ordination
  • The candidates should be able to handle heavy loads

Other Requirements:

  • The candidate should be accurate, judgmental, should have efficient interpersonal skills, and be able to work as a team player
