Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as College/CEGEP
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 2 years to less than 3 years
Credentials: Emergency child care first aid and CPR, Food allergy and anaphylaxis training, International English Language Testing System (IELTS) proficiency test
Experience with special needs children: Children with asthma
Security and safety: Criminal record check

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to work in a non-smoking area

Other Requirements:

  • The candidate should be client focus, organized, initiative, flexible, reliable, and judgmental
  • The candidates should have excellent oral communication, excellent written communication, efficient interpersonal skills, and be able to work as a team player

Candidate Status:

  • Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position.
  • International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents, perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, shop for food and household supplies
  • The candidates should be able to travel with family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties, wash, iron and press clothing and household linens, care for pets, discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents
  • The candidates should be able to instruct children in personal hygiene and social development, keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children, maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home, organize, activities such as games and outings for children
  • The candidates should be able to prepare and serve nutritious meals, supervise and care for children, take children to and from school and to appointments
  • The candidates should be able to tend to emotional well-being of children, help children with homework
