Target audience: Persons with Alzheimer’s disease, Adults, Elderly, Females, Persons with a disability, Persons with mental health disabilities, Persons with physical disabilities, Terminally ill, Persons who are blind/visually impaired

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Experience with special needs children: Assistance with mobility

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be able to perform activities such as bending, crouching, and kneeling, as well as handling heavy loads as required by the job
• The candidates should be comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, and should be prepared for the physically demanding nature of the role
• The candidates should be adept at handling repetitive tasks and capable of sitting for extended periods
• The candidates should also be comfortable standing for extended periods and walking for extended periods
• The candidates should be able to work effectively under pressure and handle weights up to 45 kg (100 lbs)
• The candidates should be able to handle weights between 61 and 80 kg (133-176 lbs)

Candidate Status:

• Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
• International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to administer bedside and personal care, including assisting with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene
• The candidates should be able to administer medications and assist clients with feeding
• The candidates should be able to launder clothing and household linens, mend clothing and linens, and perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
• The candidates should be able to provide companionship, personal care, and shop for food and household supplies
• The candidates should be able to prepare and serve nutritious meals
