Home support worker based in Richmond Hill, ON is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of Home support worker. Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Target audience: Elderly
Security and safety: Criminal record check
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be non-smokers
- The candidates should be comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking during work and should be able to perform repetitive tasks efficiently
- The candidates should be capable of handling weights of up to 23 kg (50 lbs) when necessary
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should prioritize punctuality in their work and maintain reliability in their work and commitments
- The candidates should prioritize client focus in their interactions and exhibit sound judgment in decision-making
- The candidates should demonstrate flexibility in adapting to various situations and be organized in their tasks and responsibilities
- The candidates should be team players, capable of collaborating effectively with others

- Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
- International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to administer bedside and personal care, assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene, and assist in regular exercise, e.g., walking
- The candidates should be able to assume full responsibility for the household (in the absence of the householder), perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, and provide companionship
- The candidates should be able to provide personal care and prepare and serve nutritious meals
