Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualification such as high school diploma and certificate to operate forklift and heavy equipment
Experience: Candidates need 1 year experience in a similar role

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidate must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a consistent basis

Other Requirements:

  • The candidate should have the knowledge of Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) regulations and customs documentation, PHOL training and certification in the handling of dangerous goods and also have the knowledge of PHOL stock keeping procedures and practices to process, maintain and ship supplies and to maintain the stockroom
  • The candidate should have the knowledge of supply tracking and inventory control including the use of relevant data systems ( Sage Accpac) and also have computer proficiency in the use of database inventory control systems and basic knowledge of MS office Word and Excel
  • The candidate should have knowledge of WHMIS to handle toxic substances
  • The candidate should have oral communication and interpersonal skills to arrange rush transport jobs with the PHOL transportation service provider and also have oral communication and interpersonal skills to respond to inquiries and status of goods from PHOL central and regional sites

Responsibilities:

  • The candidate should be able to provide shipping, receiving and stockroom services to support supply chain and warehouse activities for the PHOL and also receive, unpack and check incoming laboratory and other supplies, ensuring that goods are either stored or delivered as per specifications and completes related paperwork such as signing delivery slips
  • The candidate should be able to enter goods received into computer system, matching against applicable purchase order and advises Procurement staff of discrepancies (e.g., back orders, quantity issues, missing items) for resolution and also maintain various documents including records of received goods including packing and delivery slips as per retention policy
  • The candidate should be able to put away warehouse products or completes internal delivery of supplies as required within the central lab and shipping of product to regional labs, ensuring appropriate documentation is completed and retained and also ensure that all perishable goods, gas cylinders, solvents and acids are properly stored secured and delivered according to established safety procedures
  • The candidate should be able to provide coverage and coordination for replenishment of warehouse stocks items including purchase and expediting of orders and also prepare inventory and stock replenishment documentation or requisitions for warehouse and other storage areas
  • The candidate should be able to pull stock of various components from shelves to assemble kits per lab directions and shipment to external clients, ensuring stock levels are maintained and also receive, validate, prepare, pick, pack and ship goods against requisitions received from internal and external customers and also handle goods, packages and specimens
  • The candidate should be able to complete waybills and arranges for courier and freight shipments to external and internal customers and also maintain inventory records and controls including data entry, generating of reports as required and monitoring stock levels periodically and annually
  • The candidate should be able to identify and coordinate the return of damaged or spoiled/expired goods to suppliers and also complete appropriate documentation and coordinates transportation
  • The candidate should be able to facilitate waste management and recycling processes by managing bins, preparing transactions for service and contacting vendors for pickup as required and also operate and maintain forklifts and other heavy equipment in the performance of work
  • The candidate should be able to perform other duties including moving furniture, shredding items, temperature reading of fridge and freezer and also maintain, regularly checks, and replaces empty compressed gasses as required by operations
  • The candidate should be able to coordinate, maintain, replace, and complete Biomedical waste pick‐up, Chemical waste pick‐up, and Shredding bins pick‐up and also coordinate and track service requirements and replenishes all MFD (Multi‐Functional Device) with paper, toners, and maintenance kits
  • The candidate should be able to reconfigure boardroom requests for 661U boardrooms and also coordinate, maintain, and attend lab‐coats exchange store and process
  • The candidate should be able to perform other duties as assigned.
