Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as Other trades certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 3 to less than 5 years
Equipment and machinery experience: Automatic lathes, Boring machines, Drill presses, Milling machines, Surface grinders, Tool grinders
Credentials: Machinist Trade Certification

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced environment and stand for extended periods
  • The candidates should be capable of handling weight up to 45 kg (100 lbs)

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should be accurate, dependable, and possess efficient interpersonal skills
  • The candidates should have excellent oral and written communication skills, demonstrate flexibility, and be team players

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables
  • The candidates should be able to repair machine tools and parts, set up and adjust production machineries/tools, and fit and assemble components and machine parts to close tolerance
  • The candidates should be able to maintain, repair, and calibrate precision measuring instruments, document and report deviations from specifications and tolerances, and maintain inspection records and complete inspection reports
  • The candidates should be able to verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers), set up and operate conventional and computer-controlled machine tools, and verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments
