Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of Master’s degree in Nursing or Psychiatric Nursing with training and experience in mental health assessment and psychotherapy
Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of experience in the last 5 years in mental health
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have a Master’s degree in Psychology, or a Master’s degree in Social Work (clinical specialization) with education in mental health assessment and psychotherapy, or a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy with training and experience in mental health assessment and provision of psychotherapy
- The candidates should be active or eligible for registration with the applicable Alberta regulatory college
- The candidates should have including comprehensive mental health assessment and the provision of psychotherapy with children, youth, and families
- The candidates should have preference for additional training such as Circle of Security Parenting or Connect Parenting
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to utilize a variety of treatment modalities, including individual, family, and group therapy, to support individuals experiencing significant mental health challenges
- The candidates should be able to work independently and as part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team to provide evidence-informed and best practices
- The candidates should be able to deliver crisis intervention services, conduct assessments, and provide consultations
- The candidates should be able to manage referrals and facilitate case management for clients, develop and implement treatment plans tailored to the specific needs of clients
