ABATE RABBIT PACKERS Ltd. based in Arthur, ON is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of Meat packer – food and beverage processing. ABATE RABBIT PACKERS Ltd. processes and distributes rabbit meat, Cornish hens, Pheasant, Quail, Squab, Duck, Roaster Chickens, both air and water chilled, Goose, Muscovy Duck, and Guinea Fowl. We also have added value products such boneless Chicken Supreme’s for stuffing. Boneless chicken parts such as boneless breast, thigh, and leg meat. With all of our products, we focus our development and production on inclusion of attributes our customers can use to improve the quality and value of their feeds. The candidates who will get selected for the vacancy will be required to start the work as soon as possible.

Salary: $18.00 hourly for 40 hours per 40 hours per wee

Shifts: Day, Overtime, Early Morning, Morning
Transportation information: The candidates should have own transport
Work setting: Willing to relocate, Meat processing and/or packing plant/establishment
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work in odours, cold/refrigerated, wet/damp.
- The candidates should be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, be physically demanding, and a repetitive tasker
- The candidates should be able to work in tight deadlines with attention to detail
- The candidates should be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, crouch, and kneel for extended periods
- The candidates should be able to handle heavy loads
- The candidates should be able to handle Hand-eye co-ordination
- The candidates should be able to do manual dexterity
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be flexible, reliable, efficient interpersonal skills, and be able to work as a team player
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to food safety/handling skills, transport raw materials, finished products and packaging materials
- The candidates should be able to measure and dump ingredients into hoppers of mixing and grinding machines, feed flattened boxes into forming machines to construct containers remove filled containers from conveyors
- The candidates should be able to manually pack goods into bags and boxes or other containers, feed and unload processing machines
- The candidates should be able to check products and packaging for basic quality defects, assist process control and machine operators in performing their duties
- The candidates should be able to clean machines and immediate work areas
