Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 2 to less than 3 years

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate attention to detail while working under pressure

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should be accurate and organized in their work

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to interview patients to obtain case histories, schedule and confirm appointments, and complete insurance and other claim forms
  • The candidates should be able to order supplies and maintain inventory, determine and establish office procedures and routines, and enter and format electronically based medical reports and correspondence and prepare spreadsheets and documents for review
  • The candidates should be able to supervise and train other staff in procedures and in the use of current software, provide customer service, and administer medications and provide advanced emergency treatments to patients
  • The candidates should be able to administer pre-hospital emergency care, transport patients to hospitals or other medical facilities for further medical care, and maintain ambulances and emergency care equipment and supplies
  • The candidates should be able to document and record the nature of injuries and treatment provided, assist hospital personnel with the provision of medical treatment if necessary, and assess the extent of injuries or illness of trauma victims to determine emergency medical treatment
  • The candidates should be able to train and supervise other ambulance attendants or emergency technicians and attendants
