Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education:Â Candidates should have educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have extensive working experience in in a similar role or area
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be willing and able to travel within the province by ground and air, including overnight stays in remote locations as required
- The candidates should demonstrate proficiency in performing administrative duties such as document preparation, records keeping, and establishing priorities and work schedules
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should possess strong political acumen, with the ability to work with sensitive information in a confidential manner and provide strategic advice on complex topics and sensitive issues
- The candidates should have strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make decisions in a dynamic environment
- The candidates should exhibit strong verbal communication skills with the ability to present to a variety of stakeholders
- The candidates should demonstrate strong leadership skills, with experience leading, mentoring, and training team members

- The candidates should possess experience working with, and a strong understanding of, quasi-judicial processes, along with knowledge of The Mines and Minerals Act and Quarry Minerals Regulations
- The candidates should possess mediation training/experience or consultation experience with Indigenous communities
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to report to the Manager of Tenure Services
- The candidates should be able to be accountable for the administration of The Mines and Minerals Act and associated Quarry Minerals Regulation with respect to issuing, recording, and monitoring all Quarry minerals dispositions in the Province of Manitoba
- The candidates should be able to provide direct supervision and training to a team of tenure clerks and intake clerks in the Office of the Mining Recorder for the quarry business stream
- The candidates should be able to prioritize tasks, manage performance, and provide mentorship to the team
- The candidates should be able to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and procedures
