Requirements:
Languages:Â Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have bachelor’s degree in computer science, need to be supplemented by a CCNA certification, a solid background in network routing, switching and cyber security practices
Experience:Â Candidates should have experience with mobile device management systems such as Blackberry Enterprise Server
Physical Requirements:
- They should also be familiar with Web Application Firewalls (WAF)
- The candidates should have experience in Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) configuration
- The candidates should possess skills in wireless implementation with FortiAPs, Aruba IAPs, and WIFI Controllers
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be individuals with expertise in Fibre optics technology, including the design and implementation of outside plant and in-building systems
- The candidates should have knowledge of Fortigate firewall technology, including policy management, IPSec and SSL VPN tunneling configurations for client and site-to-site connections
- The candidates should have knowledge of Cisco VoIP phone systems, including call manager, attendant console, and voice gateways
- The candidates should have familiarity with centrally-managed security suites, including Carbon Black CB Defense
- The candidates should have a Class 5 Driver’s Licence for the Province of British Columbia
- The candidates should have preferred certifications include MCSE – Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer, CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Administrator), or equivalency
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to provide leadership in designing, implementing, and maintaining network systems throughout the city. Additionally, the successful candidate will work closely with other members of the network services team, the Information Services Division, and staff in client departments
