Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have education or experience in Occupational Health Nursing, as it is preferred
Experience: Candidates should minimum of 2 years of occupational health experience or (3) years in a critical care or emergency department setting
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have a valid Standard First Aid & CPR/AED certificate
- The candidates should have experience working with external business partners related to disability case management, including STD, LTD, and WSIB
- The candidates should have strong communication, problem-solving, interpersonal, and computer skills
- The candidates should be literate in a Windows environment, utilizing Word, Excel, and Outlook
- The candidates should have COHN or COHN-S certification preferred or be working towards it
- The candidates should have knowledge of applicable Ontario laws and regulations related to Occupational Health
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to provide Occupational Health practices in accordance with company standards and all applicable regulations in the Province of Ontario
- The candidates should be able to provide emergency care and technical support to site emergency response planning including, but not limited to, medical emergency response and crisis management
- The candidates should be able to work with third-party vendors to facilitate health services programs and resources based on business needs
- The candidates should be able to attain and maintain current knowledge of the site risks and hazards including ergonomics
- The candidates should be able to manage and maintain confidential P&G electronic medical records and off-site paper records as required by law
- The candidates should be able to maintain medical directives related to their nursing practice in compliance with the College of Nurses of Ontario Standards of Practice for RNs and under the direction of the site contract physician
- The candidates should be able to perform administrative and task work duties to deliver operational excellence in all health systems
