Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have a high school or provincial equivalency and/or experience in business administration
Experience: Candidates should have a training and/or experience interacting with the public in a retail and/or service environment, including sales and cash transactions

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be physically fit, demonstrating the ability to lift mail containers of up to 50 lb, push or pull boxes, sort mail, and stand for extended periods of time

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have an understanding of general or post office accounting systems as part of their required skills and qualifications
  • The candidates should be available for temporary, on-call work, reflecting their adaptability to varying work schedules

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to sell postal products and services to the business community and the public
  • The candidates should be able to sort, distribute, and process mail into appropriate classifications
  • The candidates should be able to provide customers with information and forms
  • The candidates should be able to address delivery and service difficulties to resolve problems thoroughly and quickly
