Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English and French Language
Education: Candidates should have a high school or provincial equivalency and/or experience in business administration
Experience: Candidates should have training and/or experience interacting with the public in a retail and/or service environment, including sales and cash transactions

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to available for temporary, on-call work
  • They should be physically fit to lift mail containers of up to 50 lb, push or pull boxes, sort mail, and stand for extended periods of time

Other Requirements:

  • The candidate should have an understanding of general or post office accounting systems

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to sell postal products and services effectively to the business community and the public, showcasing strong communication and sales skills
  • The candidates should be able to sort, distribute, and process mail into appropriate classifications, demonstrating attention to detail and accuracy
  • The candidates should be able to provide customers with information and forms related to postal services, ensuring a positive and helpful customer experience
  • The candidates should be able to address delivery and service difficulties promptly, resolving problems thoroughly and maintaining customer satisfaction
