Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be able to lift mail items weighing up to 22.7 kilograms (50lbs)

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to operate and shuttle corporate vehicles efficiently
• The candidates should be able to operate material handling equipment effectively
• The candidates should be able to receive and accept mail items accurately
• The candidates should be able to sort, scan, sequence, and batch mail items appropriately
• The candidates should be able to transfer and load a postal truck efficiently
• The candidates should be able to transfer and dispatch parcels and packets effectively
• The candidates should be able to complete reports and documentation accurately
• The candidates should be able to maintain a satisfactory safe driving record and the appropriate class of provincial driver’s license during their employment with Canada Post when operating a corporate vehicle
• The candidates should be able to perform other postal clerk duties as required
• The candidates should be able to perform a variety of sales and customer service activities to ensure complete customer satisfaction
