Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have bachelor’s Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have minimum five (5) years of relevant experience working in a University environment, preferably within a Registrar’s office or in Information Technology

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have an understanding of the business processes and functions relating to registrarial services and enrollment management
  • The candidates should have strong computer skills, including making use of external information systems and web-based applications
  • The candidates should demonstrate advanced competence in spreadsheet and relational databases; they should be able to write SQL and use ROSI data
  • The candidates should possess advanced software skills including Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, and SharePoint
  • The candidates should demonstrate the ability to work comfortably and professionally with a wide range of stakeholders, maintaining confidentiality and a customer-service orientation
  • The candidates should have strong communication skills, with the ability to interpret, summarize, and present information, along with strong interpersonal skills for working independently and in a team environment
  • The candidates should demonstrate effective project management skills, excellent analytical abilities, organizational skills, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to consult, analyze, and document business processes to support the development and redesign of information systems at the University, with the aim of improving the student and administrative experience
  • The candidates should be able to work closely with the University Registrar’s Office management team to analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems within the student lifecycle, such as admissions, transfer credits, and student information systems
  • The candidates should be able to collaborate with registrarial colleagues, IT staff, and subject matter experts from across the University to ensure high-quality consultation, analysis, development, and execution of enhanced business processes and appropriate IT solutions
  • The candidates should be able to conduct research and analysis, synthesize findings to support improvements, prepare documentation, and provide recommendations and advice
  • The candidates should be able to effectively use and build expertise in the University’s student information systems (ROSI) and complementary technologies such as Technolutions Slate, Microsoft Project, Visio, and SharePoint to accomplish tasks
  • The candidates should be able to analyze and document business requirements accurately and comprehensively
  • The candidates should be able to analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop technical solutions for systems improvements
  • The candidates should be able to assess needs and contribute to the development of business systems
  • The candidates should be able to advise clients and technical subject matter experts on best practices for documenting system requirements and business requirements
  • The candidates should be able to plan the implementation of new business system processes and collaborate on cost estimates
  • The candidates should be able to write complex specifications based on system requirements
  • The candidates should be able to monitor established key performance indicators of projects or products
  • The candidates should be able to develop and implement database testing plans, scenarios, and environments, and update and maintain documentation
  • The candidates should be able to schedule and assign work to a small group in a limited area, serve as a resource on specific issues to a group of specialists, and train end-users on procedures and the use of supported IT systems
