Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education:Â Candidates should have completion of a 3-year diploma or degree in business, supply chain
Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of three years of experience in an administrative business or supply chain position
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should possess strong organizational, planning, and project administration skills to prioritize tasks, multi-task, and track multiple projects
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have a Certified Professional Buyer designation, demonstrate financial acumen and experience administering department budgets
- The candidates should have advanced skills with MS Office applications and similar technologies, with the ability to quickly learn new software applications
- The candidates should have experience in developing communication and training materials, e-newsletters, web materials, and surveys
- The candidates should have knowledge of information management and contracts management, direct procurement or purchasing experience
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to collaborate with internal departments to assess procurement needs and specifications by monitoring and triaging the Procurement email inbox, serve as the first point of contact for procurement inquiries, resolving issues without escalation when possible by communicating College policies and procedures
- The candidates should be able to liaise with Finance to troubleshoot invoice and purchase order discrepancies and vendor setup issues to ensure timely invoice payments, assist in reviewing procurement budgets for accurate cost allocation
- The candidates should be able to manage customs clearance invoices for goods shipped internationally, develop and implement efficient procurement strategies across departments, including vendor setup and special payments
- The candidates should be able to administer procurement software and systems to streamline processes, including entering contracts in the database and training others, develop and provide training on procurement-related forms for new and updated processes
- The candidates should be able to manage the content on the Sheridan Central Procurement page, ensuring all documents are accurate and up to date, ensure regulatory and compliance adherence within the department and across the College
- The candidates should be able to act as the primary Procurement Liaison to ensure consistent application of College procurement policies and procedures, maintain an efficient system for information storage, retrieval, and disposal
- The candidates should be able to update procurement databases with vendor information and contract details, oversee the accuracy of new vendor setup for international and domestic vendors, performing audit checks to mitigate fraud
- The candidates should be able to support and back up the Procurement System Administrator with system setup, volume requests, and PCard management, perform other duties
