Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the French and English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have at least 4 years of experience as an infrastructure or solution architect

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should have the ability to interact with other Amazon entities globally as well as employees and stakeholders in other Canadian provinces, requiring proficiency in both French and English

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have at least 3 years of experience in implementing the architecture of enterprise implementations and at least 2 years of experience in designing and automating cloud infrastructure
  • The candidates should have in-depth knowledge of at least one programming or scripting language such as Python, Ruby, TypeScript, Shell Scripting, or Java
  • The candidates should have strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to work and exercise leadership within internal and external organizations
  • The candidates should have at least 2 years of experience with Canadian federal and provincial compliance and security standards, including the Privacy Act, PCI DSS, ISO 27001, HIPAA, ITSG-33, and protected data classifications

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to lead end-to-end architecture projects, from understanding business needs to delivering scalable and optimized solutions that improve business outcomes
  • The candidates should be able to design and implement strategies that support high-performance, reliable, and secure platforms
  • The candidates should be able to collaborate with cross-functional teams to prepare, analyze, implement, and automate pipelines and architectures for large-scale distributed environments
  • The candidates should be able to modernize and migrate existing data infrastructures, ensuring seamless integration with business objectives
  • The candidates should be able to advise clients on networking strategies and architectural best practices, providing actionable insights and long-term solutions
  • The candidates should be able to demonstrate to clients and colleagues how to develop high-quality architectures and innovate using the latest cloud technologies and best practices
  • The candidates should be able to fulfill a customer-facing role, with potential travel to customer sites
