Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English and French Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of College of Pharmacists as a Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPhT), in good standing
Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of one year of continuous working experience in a pharmacy environment (Long Term Care, Hospital, or Retail)

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should demonstrate strong attention to detail, complete work with minimal supervision
  • The candidates should have strong teammate and leadership skills, be bilingual in English and French and possess liability insurance to legally practice as an RPhT

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have experience in high volume filling environments, experience working with PacMed or PacVision
  • The candidates should demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills,  possess excellent interpersonal and customer service skills and excellent organizational and multitasking skills

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to ensure the accuracy of prepared medication by checking each prescription for legal compliance and product quality, including weekly strip-packaged medications, compliance packages, and all non-packaged products
  • The candidates should be able to complete appropriate corrections when discrepancies or issues are identified
  • The candidates should be able to accurately count and reconcile Narcotic and Controlled medications in compliance with regulations
  • The candidates should be able to check products in an organized and efficient manner to maintain workflow and ensure delivery routes leave at their scheduled times
  • The candidates should be able to protect patient privacy and confidentiality in accordance with applicable regulations
  • The candidates should be able to keep current with legal requirements, professional standards, and applicable workplace policies and procedures
  • The candidates should be able to demonstrate a commitment to promoting a workplace of inclusiveness and belonging
