Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of a Master’s degree in Cellular and Molecular Medicine, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or Immunology
Experience: Candidates should have 3-5 years of related laboratory experience

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be willing to work flexible hours, good English communication, personal organization, and computer skills
  • The candidates should exhibit individual initiative and be able to work independently, be technically proficient and accurate
  • The candidates should be able to effectively communicate in both written reports and presentations

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have a background in Immunology and Neuroscience and experience working with animals
  • The candidates should have previous peer-reviewed publications in hematology and neuroscience and possess attention to detail
  • The candidates should have experience with advanced multi-color flow  cytometry,  initiate and ensure compliance with applicable safety procedures

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to plan, conduct, troubleshoot, and analyze experiments, utilize a variety of laboratory equipment, techniques, and procedures
  • The candidates should be able to participate in the development and validation of new, improved, or existing laboratory technologies
  • The candidates should be able to read pertinent literature, especially for methodology, with excellent attention to detail, present their work at meetings using strong communication and presentation skills
  • The candidates should be able to prepare specialized and common reagents, keep detailed and accessible records of all experimental conditions, procedures, and results, and provide basic analysis of experimental data
  • The candidates should be able to perform daily to weekly work planning, provide administrative assistance, order laboratory supplies, keep records, maintain laboratory equipment, proofread documents, write technical sections of documents, and provide technical training
  • The candidates should be able to participate in laboratory meetings and discussions with excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, maintain a chemical and supply inventory, including updating MSDS
  • The candidates should be able to provide technical and safety instruction, including the appropriate use of equipment and reagents, in accordance with good research practices and workplace safety standards
  • The candidates should be able to demonstrate and explain experimental methods and instruct equipment operation to trainees and staff, supervise laboratory performance of Research Helpers and undergraduate trainees, participate in Safety Committees
