Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or Intermediate or a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of related experience in delivering services to clients through administration, mediation and adjudication

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have extensive knowledge of the policies, processes, and the governing Acts and Regulations for the Residential Tenancy and Condominium Dispute programs
  • The candidates should possess general knowledge of the rules of natural justice and legal terminology
  • The candidates should demonstrate proficiency in research techniques, financial analysis, and decision/report writing as it relates to mediation and dispute resolution services
  • The candidates should exhibit the ability to distill complex and sometimes ambiguous information into concise findings of fact
  • The candidates should demonstrate effective interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to share information concisely and to listen effectively
  • The candidates should have well-developed interviewing skills to deal effectively with clients on sensitive matters
  • The candidates should possess the ability to create, store, and manage electronic files on local and network drives using software and scanning hardware
  • The candidates should show proficiency in various computer applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and Adobe

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to work with a team of professionals to deliver Residential Tenancy services and Condominium Dispute services on behalf of Service Nova Scotia
