Experience: Candidates should have 1 year of directly payroll transaction processing experience
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have completed post-secondary financial or accounting courses Introduction to Financial and Management Accounting), along with
- The candidates should have 2 years of directly related full cycle financial transaction processing experience
- The candidates should have Grade 12 and a Business Administration Diploma or Degree, with 2 years of directly related full cycle financial transaction processing experience and 1 year of directly related payroll transaction processing experience
- The candidates should have Grade 12 and successful completion of the Canadian Payroll Certification – Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP), with 3 years of directly related payroll transaction processing experience
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to assist in ensuring the accuracy of transaction processing in the Government of the Northwest Territories ERP System by providing seasoned advice to Accounting Clerks and processing complex transactions
- The candidates should be able to handle transaction processing of unique and specialized transactions related to client department-specific program needs and reconciliations of a complex or time-sensitive nature
- The candidates should be able to ensure transactions are dealt with accurately and timely to meet performance metrics in service partnership agreements with client departments
- The candidates should be able to provide daily support, seasoned financial processing advice, and handle the first level of escalation from transactions of an unusual nature, determining appropriate resolutions or escalating issues to the team
- The candidates should be able to exercise considerable judgment to ensure effective and timely processing of transactions
