Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completed the tenth grade
Experience: Candidates should have one year of related work experience

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should have the physical ability to perform the described duties and use the indicated equipment
  • The candidates should have the ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to clean and dust furniture, floors, hallways, stairways, and ledges using authorized and appropriate materials and equipment, including heavy-duty electric buffers, automatic floor machines, large dust mops, vacuum cleaners, carpet cleaning equipment, and other cleaning tools
  • The candidates should be able to recondition floors as required, including stripping, refinishing, scrubbing, spray buffing, buffing, sealing, and performing other related floor care duties clean washrooms regularly, including sinks, walls, partitions, toilets, urinals, mirrors, floors, metal fixtures, plumbing fixtures, and faucets
  • The candidates should be able to collect litter from floors, empty waste and compost receptacles into janitor carts, and remove garbage and recycling from buildings for disposal in waste bins or compactors, clean carpets as required and remove spots and stains from surfaces
  • The candidates should be able to wash windows and walls, including partition glass, move and reset furniture when necessary to complete work, make beds for residence guests in residence operations
  • The candidates should be able to clean blackboards, whiteboards, and other writing surfaces as directed and replenish supplies
  • The candidates should be able to restock paper towels, toilet paper, hand soap, and sanitizers in washrooms, utility kitchens, and other designated areas, change light bulbs and clean fixtures
