Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of a secondary school program
Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of two years’ experience as a shipper, receiver within a logistics environment

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should have the ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion and a minimum typing speed of 45 wpm
  • The candidates should demonstrate maturity and the ability to work with a minimum amount of supervision
  • The candidates should have physical requirements include the ability to lift weights that may exceed 10 kg. This position requires stooping, kneeling, crouching, and lifting

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have preference given to experience in warehouse and inventory distribution and experience in a healthcare environment
  • The candidates should have working experience with inventory control processes (FIFO and FEFO)
  • The candidates should have effective communication and interpersonal skills, and exercise sound judgment, tact, and discretion when dealing with others
  • The candidates should have strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks with competing priorities
  • The candidates should be able to develop and maintain professional working relationships with peers, management, customers, volunteers, and donors and advanced skills in MRP systems software and preferably SAP
  • The candidates should have effective problem-solving skills, and be capable of interpreting and analyzing reports to make plausible recommendations
  • The candidates should be proficient in the use of personal computers within a Windows operating system, using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to maintain inventory control using FIFO/FEFO processes, perform inventory allocation in eProgesa and SAP, and conduct inventory counts as required; identify, report, and reconcile discrepancies
  • The candidates should be able to receive, log, sort, and distribute product or mail within the Winnipeg location efficiently and distribute product to departments
  • The candidates should be able to receive all designated CBS shipments and complete the appropriate documentation
  • The candidates should be able to follow Standard Operating Procedures for the receipt and distribution of product, including placing products into quality inspection
  • The candidates should be able to identify and prepare recalled, damaged, and expired inventory for disposal or destruction with attention to detail
  • The candidates should be able to prepare bio-waste shipments and monitor temperature within warehouses and replace charts
