Transportation information: Valid driver’s licence and Public transportation is available
Requirements:
Languages:Â Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as Other trades certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Equipment and machinery experience:Â Industrial lift trucks and fork-lifts
Computer and technology knowledge:Â Inventory control software, Spreadsheet, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Word, and MS Windows
Credentials:Â Counterbalanced forklift training and Forklift Operator Certification
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced environment, have strong attention to detail, handle heavy loads, and lift up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs)
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be accurate in their work, demonstrate dependability, and possess efficient interpersonal skills
- The candidates should have excellent oral and written communication skills, show good judgment, and be organized
- The candidates should be reliable and be a team player
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to determine the method of shipment, schedule the distribution of goods, and schedule transportation conveyances
- The candidates should be able to prepare bills of lading, invoices, and other shipping documents, inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents, and maintain an internal record-keeping system
- The candidates should be able to route goods to appropriate storage areas, pack goods to be shipped, and unpack goods received
- The candidates should be able to affix identifying information and shipping instructions on shipments, and oversee the loading and unloading of goods
