Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science (or a related technical field)
Experience: The candidates should have experience in designing and building distributed systems

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have proficiency in Java or C# development – Java preferred
  • The candidates should possess proficiency in Object-oriented design experience
  • The candidates should demonstrate proficiency in data structures, algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis
  • The candidates should have development experience in a Unix/Linux environment
  • The candidates should have Machine Learning experience, particularly in the forecasting field (deep learning, neural networks, LSTM, et al)
  • The candidates should possess experience in designing and building distributed systems in AWS using services like Batch, DynamoDB, Step Functions, Redshift, SES, SQS, etc
  • The candidates should have experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and frameworks like React, Chai, Mocha
  • The candidates should have SQL experience
  • The candidates should have experience with REST architecture

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to help us improve the data analysis and job management services to the next level
  • The candidates should be able to own central user experiences and APIs that enable our users to create and manage tens of millions of analysis jobs every month
  • The candidates should be able to be part of a cross-functional 2-pizza team with frontend, backend, and machine learning engineers
  • The candidates should be able to engage with product management, customers, and BDT leadership to evolve one of BDT’s most important services
  • The candidates should be able to contribute to exciting development projects in our pipeline, including the creation and migration to a whole new scalable data model and persistence layer for job persistence
  • The candidates should be able to continue the migration of core components to AWS and build the framework to support integration with CDK
  • The candidates should be able to design and build large-scale systems used by a wide spectrum of users, across a wide range of businesses
  • The candidates should be able to use their experiences to analyze and derive insights from data critical to the continued success of Amazon’s businesses
