Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have 7+ years of progressive finance experience
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should have the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines and ability to coach and lead a team
- The candidates should be able to work and drive improvements within a team environment
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have a CPA designation and experience with public company reporting and consolidation
- The candidates should have strong knowledge of IFRS, strong attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
- The candidates should have the ability to coach and mentor, excellent planning and organizational skills
- The candidates should have advanced knowledge of MS Office and strong interpersonal and communication skills
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to grow their leadership and coaching skills by leading a team responsible for the consolidation of the Company’s financial results, including management and external reports
- The candidates should be able to maintain an effective control environment within the external reporting process, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- The candidates should be able to lead the preparation process for the Company’s audited financial statements, MD&A, and related documents, working cross-functionally with other teams and securing appropriate review and approval by senior management
- The candidates should be able to identify areas for process improvements and greater efficiencies within financial reporting, and implement practical solutions
- The candidates should be able to identify weaknesses in internal controls within the reporting process and recommend targeted improvements
- The candidates should be able to act as the liaison for the annual audit process, effectively coordinating with external auditors to ensure a smooth and accurate audit experience
- The candidates should be able to participate in supporting business decisions through ad-hoc analysis as required, providing financial insights that guide strategic planning
