Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have considerable experience in the relevant field
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should have the ability to work effectively in a high-stress environment, possess strong organizational skills
- The candidates should be able to work independently with minimal supervision, the ability to work in a team-oriented environment with a focus on team success and be available for shift work as required for this position
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should possess a Transport Canada Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) M2, E, or S license
- The candidates should be able to obtain a Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC) and an Airside Vehicle Operator’s Permit
- The candidates should possess a full, valid driver’s license, a strong technical and working knowledge of processes, procedures, and IT systems related to their specific work area
- The candidates should demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills, a thorough understanding of Line Maintenance aircraft check procedures
- The candidates should have proficiency with PC applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to coordinate and supervise maintenance activities to ensure aircraft serviceability meets operational requirements, ensure compliance with Transport Canada and Air Canada airworthiness standards
- The candidates should be able to manage, plan, and control aircraft maintenance activities effectively, allocate resources to meet workload demands and corporate scheduling
- The candidates should be able to monitor Air to Ground VHF communication for operational updates, address delays, incidents, and maintenance issues with relevant departments
- The candidates should be able to document delays, incidents, and maintenance messages in the required system
- The candidates should be able to consult with Maintenance Operations Control, System Operation Control, and Hangar Team Leaders regarding aircraft faults
- The candidates should be able to coordinate interdepartmental communications within the Station Operations Control Centre (STOC)
- The candidates should be able to liaise with Flight Operations to maintain aircraft serviceability at departure gates, communicate effectively with ramp maintenance staff.
