Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Asset languages: Japanese
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Type of guide: Step-on local guide
Tours focus: sightseeing, bus tours, and walking tours
Number of tours guided: 10 tours and +
Geographical areas of specialization: Canada

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be willing to work outdoors
  • The candidates should be able to meet tight deadlines and be familiar with repetitive tasks
  • The candidates should demonstrate attention to detail and be comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking
  • The candidates should be capable of walking

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to confirm transportation and accommodation reservations effectively and attend to hotel, airport, train, and other check-in and check-out procedures diligently
  • The candidates should be able to co-ordinate recreation activities proficiently and co-ordinate activities with local tour guides or leaders of performance groups skillfully
  • The candidates should be able to describe points of interest clearly, resolve itinerary and other problems efficiently, and provide information on tipping customs, currency exchange rates, metric conversion, and other details accurately
  • The candidates should be able to utilize microphones or other communication devices appropriately, sell souvenirs effectively, and assist clients/guests with special needs compassionately
