Shifts: Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Shift, Overtime, Flexible Hours, Early Morning, Morning
Documentation knowledge: Accident or incident reports, bill of lading, dangerous goods occurrence reports, driver logbook, inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), trans-border documentation, and trip reports

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
Credentials: AZ class license

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be attentive to detail, able to handle heavy loads, and able to manage a large workload
  • The candidates should be willing to work overtime as required, handle physically demanding tasks, and perform repetitive tasks
  • The candidates should be able to sit for extended periods

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should possess efficient interpersonal skills, have excellent oral communication skills, and be organized
  • The candidates should be a team player, hardworking, and have patience

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to coach colleagues on new methods or work techniques, demonstrate professionalism in customer service, and drive lighter, special-purpose trucks
  • The candidates should be able to load and unload goods, operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, and oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment
  • The candidates should be able to perform brake adjustments, perform emergency roadside repairs, and conduct pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections while overseeing all aspects of the vehicle
  • The candidates should be able to receive and relay information to central dispatch
