Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of a Bachelor’s degree in an EHS
Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of 1 year in an environmental Health and Safety (EHS) related field -relevant background
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent and knowledge of OSHA regulations, specifically 29 CFR 1910
- The candidates should have experience using Microsoft Word and Excel in a professional capacity
- The candidates should have experience maintaining confidentiality in matters involving security and personnel issues in the workplace
- The candidates should have one of the following 6 months of experience performing in a safety-related role within Amazon
- The candidates should have experience in worker’s compensation case management and a Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in a safety-related field
- The candidates should have strong communication, teamwork, analysis, judgment, and customer focus skills
- The candidates should have experience leading and managing a team, with the ability to analyze accident data, new processes, and machinery for potential safety concerns and conduct job hazard and job safety analyses
- The candidates should have experience in emergency response and currently hold First Aid and CPR certificates
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to maintain accurate daily, weekly, and monthly metrics, ensuring they are reported to onsite management teams and corporate-based reporting systems
- The candidates should be able to support management efforts to ensure compliance with all corporate program expectations and applicable federal and state laws
- The candidates should be able to conduct risk assessments related to jobs performed (Job Hazard Analysis) and new equipment introductions, identifying potential hazards
- The candidates should be able to recommend appropriate risk mitigation measures to management, including implementing ergonomic solutions
- The candidates should be able to work flexible shifts, including days, nights, and weekends, to meet operational needs
